Q: For those who don’t know you, can you please introduce yourself and describe your sound?

Hi! We are ORRA, a Vancouver-based indie-pop band consisting of Sarah Orr (vocals/keys), Cameron McGregor (drums), Jacqui Munro (guitar/vocals), and Alan Kane (bass). Our sound blends the danceable grooves of ABBA and Fleetwood Mac with the edge of modern alt-pop artists like Lorde. We create music that explores the chaos and turmoil of early adulthood, from navigating life-defining decisions to facing the highs and lows of relationships.

Q: What’s one of the biggest successes you’ve had as a musician?

We're still pretty new as a band, but hearing our single "I Knew" being played on radio stations was really special to us! Seeing the song be played as far as Montreal really made all the hard work of promotion worth it!

Q: What’s your favourite venue to play?

We’ve had an amazing time playing at Green Auto and RedGate! Both venues have fantastic sound and incredible staff who really care about delivering the best experience for both the artists and the audience.

Q: What do you think was the best Medium for music to be on? (Vinyl, Tape, CD, Digital)?

Hard to answer, having a physical copy is so lovely but digital is a great way to make music more accessible. It might be a little bit cliche, but the sound of vinyl really does have a magical feel to it, as if the band was in the room with you.

Q: Who is your favourite local band to see perform around town?

We're looking forward to seeing DACEY at RedGate soon!  We were fans before discovering they lived in Vancouver which was the perfect cherry on top of an already amazing artist.

Q: What’s coming up next for your music?

We have an upcoming single release on March 8th called "FLASHBACKS" and are going to play a single release show the same date at Take ur time back. Keep your eye out for it!
