Check out what Sixth Grade Softball had to say!

Q: For those who don’t know you, can you please introduce yourself and describe your sound?
We are Sixth Grade Softball! we are a fem fronted post-emo band from Vancouver BC, featuring Izzy, Theo, Jaylin, and Cam! We take a lot of inspiration from PUP, Hot Mulligan and Modern Baseball and our sound is an intersection between 5th wave and 4th wave emo, bringing the classic sound of mid 2010's emo with a modern influence.
Q: What’s one of the biggest successes you’ve had as a musician?
We think our biggest success is being the cornerstone of Vancouver emo, giving way to other new bands to join enter the scene and help contribute to a larger growing emo revival in the Vancouver scene.
Q: What’s your favourite venue to play?
Our best memories playing we're definitely at Red Gate, a venue we have played many times! We really enjoy the crowd and the atmosphere of Red Gate, they have been a very important part of the queer music scene and we really appreciate being able to be apart of an inclusive space.
Q: What do you think was the best Medium for music to be on? (Vinyl, Tape, CD, Digital)?
With all of us being born around the turn of the century, we are a sucker for tape and cd's. With the growing distaste of streaming platforms and the role they play in a predatory music scene, we feel physical media is of increasing importance as point of preservation and true ownership for music enjoyers.
Q: Who is your favourite local band to see perform around town?
We love seeing our friends over in Pale North absolutely kill at every venue they enter. they have always been amazing people to work with and seeing them perform is always a pleasure.
Q: What’s coming up next for your music?
We currently finishing up work on our first album release slated for the end of the year! We've been cooking this one up for a while and are very excited to finally get it out to everyone!!♪ ♫ ♪
