Vancouver is full of many talented bands and every year Live Acts selects a few to highlight in the Best In Vancouver competition. More of a showcase than a true battle of the bands in essence. This year the top three finalists are coming together and putting on a show that will blow audiences away! We had a quick chat with each artist about being a finalist. Check out their answers below!

Q: How did it feel to hear about being selected for the top 3?

Stories End: It felt amazing, we worked hard and it paid off! Polishing our set took months, but we got it down, and brought the good vibes where it counted! A very accomplishing moment for us indeed.

Canyon Riders:
Finding out we were finalists was exciting to say the least. We worked really hard in preparation for the show so it was extremely rewarding to see that the judges recognized that. The competition was deadly and that made it so much sweeter once we found out, honestly we’re thru the moon. Can’t wait.

Chronic Fatigue:
That email found us well.

Q: What are you going to do to ensure you win first place?

Stories End: We don’t back down. Stories End brings a very strong and well rehearsed show, which promises to provide high energy and catchy up beat songs. Our guitarist has programmed an entire light show around our set, and the experience is truly something not worth missing.

Canyon Riders: I can’t giveaway all our secrets 😎 but i can tell you it’s gonna come down to hard work. Pouring our souls out on that stage and letting everyone in that room have a piece of it. Its not just gonna be a Friday night show, it’s gonna be a Rock and Roll extravaganza that nobody’s gonna forget anytime soon. On top of that we have new custom merch for the occasion and could be debuting a brand new song, but u didn’t hear that from me

Chronic Fatigue: Drink beers AFTER our set.

Q: What was one of your favorite bands from the semi-finals?

Stories End: A few weeks ago we caught Canyon Riders’ semi final set, and they were awesome. We had a blast during their performance and the band was so locked in. They work hard and it showed instantly!

Canyon Riders: Tough to narrow down 1 band. A few of our favourites are The Kayaks, The Time We Died and Leyline Riders. All super great people and they sure know how to put on a Rock Show!

Chronic Fatigue: Our DUDES Arrow in the Quiver and the absolute madlads in Raw Nerve Endings.

Q: What is your message to the audience to get them to come cheer you on?

Stories End: If you enjoyed our last two shows at Fox Cabaret and the semi finals, just you wait. We evolve every time, and this is certainly no exception. We expect to sell a lot of tickets, and we ensure you will enjoy every moment of our set!

Canyon Riders: Our message to the audience is that if you wanna experience some real authentic rock and roll music coming straight from the heart, The Roxy on November 29th is the place to be.
We have busted our asses to be here and we don’t plan on letting up on the gas. EVERYTHING will be left up on that stage, that’s a promise from us to you. We love every single one of you and your the reason why we get to do this.
ROCK AND ROLL!

Chronic Fatigue: We’re here to win the battle of the bands and chew bubblegum…and we’re all outta winning battle of the bands.
