Here's what he had to say...

Q: For those who don’t know you, can you please introduce yourself and describe your sound?

I'm Erik Severinson - I'm a rock singer/songwriter; along the lines of Hozier, Jeff Buckley, Madison Cunningham.

Q: What’s one of the biggest successes you’ve had as a musician?

I sang at Carnegie Hall. I wrote choral arrangements for a JUNO-winning metal album. I sang an hour long show of King Crimson tunes with a Vancouver jazz big band!

Q: What’s your favourite venue to play?

In Vancouver I love the Fox Cabaret. One day I'd love to play at the Commodore.

Q: What do you think was the best Medium for music to be on? (Vinyl, Tape, CD, Digital)?

I love vinyl; call me a hipster. I love when music is in the foreground, not the background. The ritual of choosing a record, loading it up, and having to flip it halfway kind of focuses your attention in a cool way.

Q: Who is your favourite local band to see perform around town?

Gentle Party!

Q: What’s coming up next for your music?

Dec 18 at Roxy w/ In the Dark Park.
