Vancouvers Next Drag Superstar - Ra

 

The hunt is on for Vancouver's Next Drag Superstar! We managed to chat with a few of this week's revealed contestants. Come out tomorrow to Celebrities Nightclub, as well as for the next few weeks, to see who makes it to the finals.

Ra

        1. How would you describe your drag to someone who’s never seen you before?


Ra (they / them ) is an ethereal deity who is known for their avant guard and fashion forward looks and eclectic drag style. when you go to a rad drag show, expect the unexpected. Think out of the box looks, emotional ballad, high energy numbers, and a lot of humor. 

        2. What’s your go-to song to perform if you were trapped on a desert island and had to lip sync for your life to escape?


If I was dropped on a deserted island, I would definitely be lip syncing to Lady Gaga- Bad Romance, as it is my go to lip sync song and features my name Ra Ra!

        3. Which guest judge are you most looking forward to performing in front of?

All of the guest judges are people that I have performed with and have learned from as a drag artist. I am excited to show them all a refined version of Baby Ra Ra as I take on the challenges presented to me each week.

        4. What do you think separates you from other Drag performers in Vancouver?

my eye for detail in fashion and looks is definitely my strong suit that sets me apart from the other drag performers in Vancouver city. Not only are my looks very well thought after and crafted to perfection but also have cultural inspirations from my roots in India.

        5. What’s the message you want to send to our readers to get them to come cheer you on?

I would tell the readers to prepare themselves to be launched into the RaVerse As they witness a truly triumphant journey of brown, diva, executing brown excellence!
