Idle Lane
Here's what they had to say...

Q: For those who don’t know you, can you please introduce yourself and describe your sound?
We are Idle Lane, an alternative rock band from Victoria! Most of us
were born and raised here and have been involved with music since early
childhood. We started playing shows locally in 2021 and since then we've
had the opportunity to perform all over Canada. Our sound draws
influence from rock bands of the '70s and '90s, (Alice in Chains,
Smashing Pumpkins, The Rolling Stones), and though emphasis is placed on
songwriting and heavy grooves that leave an impact, we are definitely
suckers for the double guitar attacks as well.
Q: What’s one of the biggest successes you’ve had as a musician?
Every single show we played in Montreal was hugely significant and successful to us. The energy at those shows that was circling around the room was truly insane. As far as a single "pinch me" moment, I think playing at Rifflandia takes the cake for us.Q: What’s your favourite venue to play?
Oh man, many have stood out throughout the years. Most recently, The Aviary in Edmonton was the best time. We also enjoyed making noise at the VEC (sad to see it gone now), the Phoenix, and Red Gate.Q: What do you think was the best Medium for music to be on? (Vinyl, Tape, CD, Digital)?
I (Vanilia) have always been hooked on music videos of my favourite
bands so I'd say I'm partial to digital because of that. Pat and Cole
have quite the vinyl collections so for them probably a mix of both.
Q: Who is your favourite local band to see perform around town?
Too many to list really, but Autonomous Apes are especially locked in, super sick to watch and play shows with. We're playing with them again at Paul Phillips Hall on March 29th - DON'T MISS IT.Q: What’s coming up next for your music?
