Q: For those who don’t know you, can you please introduce yourself and describe your sound?
In short we call it Psych-Dance Rock. What we are chasing most specifically right now is a good dance beat. We want to audience to feel like they are at a club. Our new album targets this but we still incorporate psych rock elements.
Q: What’s one of the biggest successes you’ve had as a musician?
Being able to play for large audiences at the The Cobalt, Green Auto, Sick Day Fest, Khatsalano, The Fox… all big shows for us. We just feel grateful when people take the time to see us live. In a previous band, Jericho, I played the Rickshaw and that was pretty sweet.Q: What’s your favourite venue to play?
Some of our favourite shows have been at Green Auto. The staff and management there are my favourite in the city.Q: What do you think was the best Medium for music to be on? (Vinyl, Tape, CD, Digital)?
The most memorable for me would be CD because that’s what I bought and collected as a youth. Now I buy Vinyl as I think artists put the most intention into that instead of other physical mediums. Digital has less financial barriers but also provides the least amount of financial support to the artists.
Q: Who is your favourite local band to see perform around town?
I’ll go see Spank Williams at the rickshaw before he moves to MTL. Also love Ears and their live set up. Arlene Kaytor is super cool and has outstanding vocals.Q: What’s coming up next for your music?
