Are you ready to be introduced to some of the amazing local talent we have here? We have such an incredible music scene here in the GVA, and there are so many amazing artists just waiting for you to check them out.

The first peaks of spring are starting to show, from grass turning greener, to flowers blooming, to spiders spinning webs in the open again. The cold of winter has broken way to the warmth and sunshine (and probably a lot of rain too) of spring. Event season is starting, bands are ramping up their tours, and more is happening every weekend!

Kick back, open your music app of choice, and check out today's spotlighted artist:

Here's what they had to say...

Q: For those who don’t know you, can you please introduce yourself and describe your sound?

We are a progressive death metal band based in Mission, BC. Our sound draws influence from bands such as Mastodon, LOG, Megadeth, Soilwork and Tyr. Layered with death and black metal aspects.

Q: What’s one of the biggest successes you’ve had as a musician?

For this band, writing and recording a full album worth of demos in our basement studio has been a very fulfilling experience.

Q: What’s your favourite venue to play?

We play in and around the Vancouver area. Bully’s is a band favorite. Rickshaw and Venue are also high on the list.

Q: What do you think was the best Medium for music to be on? (Vinyl, Tape, CD, Digital)?

Vinyl and CD will always be the most superior medium for listening.

Q: Who is your favourite local band to see perform around town?

We’re good friends with the boys in Anciients, and never pass up a chance to see them play. Terrifier and Thirteen Goats as well.

Q: What’s coming up next for your music?

We’ve got a number of live shows booked into the spring. As a new band, we feel it’s important to get out in the scene and show em what we’ve got. Will be releasing a few demo tracks on Bandcamp in the coming weeks, while we prepare to hit the studio for the official recording.
